Highland Firefighters Association (HFA)
This group sponsors annual community events such as the Santa Run, Safety Fair and the Halloween celebrations at the firehalls. The membership, consisting of volunteer firefighters including honorary retired members, also organizes social events for the firefighters such as the Annual Banquet, etc. Contact Dan Barcelo, 479-8531
The Highlander Newsletter
The newsletter of the Highland District Community Association, and, the Highland Heritage Park Society.
THe Highlander is a community publication produced by the Highlander Publishing Group, it contains the official newsletter of the HDCA and HHPS. Features profiles, historical information, fiction, upcoming events, local advertising, and various regular columns. Informative and entertaining. The Publishing Group encourages feedback and letters to the Editor.

The Highland News
The municipal newsletter containing information on topics such as property taxes, land use planning, and other subjects of interest to Highlanders, as well as reports on municipal business, events and services. Published monthly and distributed throughout the Highlands by mail.
Goldstream Gazette
A local newspaper, currently delivered free of charge at the community mailbox sites. Published on Wednesdays and Fridays, it contains articles and advertisements concerning the Western Communities, including Highlands.
Highland District Community Association (HDCA)
The Highland District Community Association (HDCA) was registered in 1965 as the Highland District Ratepayers Association under the BC Society Act. The current name was adopted a few years later to indicate all residents and property owners are eligible for membership. Highland Heritage Park Society (HHPS)
This group concerns itself with the preservation and ongoing care and maintenance of the Caleb Pike Homestead and Heritage Orchard. This year's project is the resurrection of an original one-room schoolhouse on site. Members welcome. Contact Eric, 652-1466, or email Eric Herbert
Highland Park and Recreation Association (HPRA)
Originating in 1990, the role of this association is, on the basis of a management agreement with the Municipality, to manage all Municipal parks, including Twinflower Park, Cal Revelle Nature Sanctuary, top of Pike's Hill, etc. Members welcome. Contact Bob, 478-4403, or email: Bob McMinn
